25 Days of Cereal Day 20: Chocolatey Winter Lucky Charms
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…..on the Rad Years 25 Days of Cereal. Today we’re reviewing a holiday cereal that is BRAND NEW for 2018. We already talk about last years offerings from General Mills, Cinnamon Vanilla Lucky Charms and Hot Cocoa; Cocoa Puffs. This year, they seemed to consolidate those two cereals into one. Until today, I was under the assumption that Chocolate Lucky Charms would be an oat based chocolate cereal. All you have to do is luck at the box and it says “corn cereal”. It’s a corn based cereal, no at flour. sigh This is essentially like an unofficial Christmas Count Chocula.
Lucky Charms has a long history of a winter verions, which I documented in the day 1 blog. I really enjoyed this years offering, it had a similar flavor to last years Cocoa Puffs cereal. General Mills released another Christmas Cereal that I’ll review this weekend, but lets hit this with some milk and give it a proper review.
As soon as you open the bag, you get that big chocolate smell. The cereal pieces don’t look like they hold their shape as well as the normal Lucky Charms pieces. A good ration of marshmallows to cereal pieces in the bowl, throw on some milk and it’s pretty good.
I hope next year we get another change up from Lucky Charms, maybe a Rudolf Marshamallows again?
I liked this so much, it’s a clean bowl kids! And Chocolate milk after to boot!
This gets a 7 out of 8 maids a-milking
