My 2026 Halloween Mood Table
I finally found time to set up my Halloween Mood Table this year, a tradition started by Matt from Dinosaur Dracula back on his original website X-Entertainment back in the early 2000’s. If you want to see his tables you can see his 2012 one here! He was doing one and posting it up until about 2022 on his website! But if you check a search engine with the phrase, you’ll find it’s become a thing in a lot of Halloween circles. I started one last year, and posted it on my instagram, and with the power of the internet, I posted it below
This year, I totally lost my mind and decided to go big or go home, which is where the table is, home. So lets explore this years table.
As you can see I made the most of my space this year! Top to bottom, I strung up some spooky green and purple lights. Hung up what’s called a “spooky cloth” and put cardboard cut outs behind it. I have two framed black light posters from ONE MAN RIOT of two of my favorite horror movies, Halloween 3 and The Lost boys. Next to them are two felt pennants, on the left and Halloween 1983 inspired by Halloween 3, and to the right Trick or Treat 92 with the Mcboo bucks on it. Below that is a Neon Michael Meyers fave from Halloween 2 that I got last year at Spirit. Then the table itself, lets get a closer look.
There is my glow in the dark Bud Light fight night Spuds Mckenzie mug, and a Sam from Trick R Treat voodoo doll, then some Killer Klowns from Outerspace figures, a little Wendy’s Frosty guy from last year. Sam is also guarding the candy bowl with the trick or treaters from Halloween 3, and BY GAWD IT’S THE UNDERTAKER
Making their return from last year are my Halloween 3 Tiki cups and my Dr Challis action figure with not one but 2 beers, because we all know he could use a drink.
In the middle is a 90’s Sony Trinatron TV that I got pretty cheap because the video input was busted, but we all know that doesn’t stop me! It’s showing Chris LaMartina’s 2025 Halloween Mix DVD-r (he’s the mind behind the WNUF Halloween Special). I draped some more spooky cloth over it and put some cheap target porcelain figures on top and my Black Light behind them. I had a black light activated Killer Klown Jumbo Funko pop up there but he fell somewhere and I’m just realizing that as I’m typing. To the right are some more older Target halloween decorations, you know back when Target didn’t completely phone in their Halloween department like they did this year.
Below deck are some of my NECA Ben Cooper Costume style figures, Alf and Pee-Wee are in there for sure! There is a Batman The Animated Series Clayface action figure in tribute to the new movie I can’t wait to see. There is a Box of Halloween Rice Krispies from 1997, and some Mattel Ghostbusters WWE Figures. Ghost Undertaker with the Ecto Winged Eagle Championship, and Stone Cold and The Rock doing the busting! They’re flanked by two origami lanterns I got from my aunts this year!
In closing, Matt said the Mood tables were meant to be your SHRINE to Halloween, where you can always see it and it puts you in that Halloween Mood! Well this certainly does the trick for me! What’s your favorite addition to this year’s table? Are you doing a table of your own this year? Let me know in the comments!
