Happy Halloween 2026
The picture is me from Halloween dressed as a convict. Why? Who know. The day is finally here! After writing about it for 2 months, and a whole month of podcasts about it, sometimes they lead up to the day be better than the day itself. Halloween for me was really yesterday, when it was Trick or Treat in my neighborhood. I took off from work, I got the decorations perfect, I devised an auxiliary tank for my fog machine so I wouldn’t have to fill it more than once. All the big holiday events. I hope this version of a Halloween countdown helped put you in the Halloween spirit. Not the store, but the mood. I’m aware it was mainly food and comic reviews, but they say write what you know, and thats what I know.
Last night I finished the peacock series Crystal Lake and let me tell you, it is freaking awesome A lot of fun and the episodes fly by. I read that it was a ratings giant for peacock so the hopes of getting a season 2 are high. If you’re looking for something to binge today and you have peacock, I’d give this one a shot. I’ve also heard good things about the Carrie series on Amazon but have no watched it yet. If you’re not into spooky or horror, Visionquest on Disney+ has 6 of its 10 episodes out and it’s a really compelling story so far with James Spader stealing the show as Ultron.
As far as movies I watched this season, I’ve hit a lot. I’ve watched Halloween 3 on a VHS recording off of WPIX, I watched a bootleg VHS or Trick r Treat. It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown at least 4 times. I blew through the Rosanne Halloween Episodes. I watched the Lost Boys last night and probably Killer Klowns for Outerspace tonight. If you’re looking for some background fodder for today I put together a HELL of a Cartoon club for today that you can watch here , and below is the cable listings for today .
That’s all from me this season! The first batch of our new pins and stickers went out this week so a lot of you should start seeing them Monday. Monday I will also be getting the next round packed and mailed out, so be on the lookout! Should I do this again next season? Should I keep going for Christmas? Let me know in the comments! Happy Halloween! -RK
