New "Vintage" Halloween Photo

New "Vintage" Halloween Photo

These little keychain cameras came out from Kodak this time last year and they were a huge hit, selling out everywhere before the holiday season.  At the time I wanted one but I didn’t want to pay a huge markup on a novelty camera.  This summer I was in an Urban Outfitters and saw they had them for sale, so I grabbed one out of the middle and low and behold, I grabbed the Clear chase variant which has a 1/48 chance.  Currently selling on eBay for 125-200 bucks.  Lucky me I guess.  These are the 1987 boxes with the cameras modeled after the Kodak Fling, which was their first single use camera.  There is also a Millennium edition out now with different color ways, but same specifications on the camera, they just both have different sets of custom filters and frames.

I was going on a long walk the other day and figured since it’s October, there must be more people with halloween decorations out, so I took my Kodak Charmera camera with me to see if the pictures really captured a vintage look.  I’d have to say it really did! I love the aesthetic of these pictures that looks more like they’re out of the 90’s than 2026. (if you’re looking at this on your computer, I'd right click and open image in new tab to see them in all their glory)

I’m thinking of doing more walks with this camera.  The neighborhood I grew up in, and the houses I trick or treated at.  The neighborhood not so far away when on mischief night we terrorized the community.  Maybe some more stuff as we get closer to THEE night.  Any suggestions?  Should I go in some old hallmark stores with it? Or old Grocery stores? What do you think of the photos? Sound of below in the comments or hit me up at rk@radyears.com
