25 Days of Cereal Day 13: Pumpkin Spice Frosted Flakes
When Tony say’s “They’re great” HE IS NOT LYING. Frosted Flakes are one of my favorite cereals ever. They’re so simple and delicious. I haven’t had many variations of Frosted Flakes, but lately there has been a lot. This past fall (Read:Summer) Kelloggs released their Halloween “Spooky Edition” Chocolate Frosted Flakes with Spooky Marshmallows, AND Pumpkin Spice Frosted Flakes. I scooped these up in late July I think. I never had a chance to open the box and review them until TODAY.
So I opened the box, and they looked kind of normal in the bag. I popped the bag, and got what I smelled as a generic candle like pumpkin spice smell, and was worried. I poured a bowl and hit them with the milk and dug in. WOW, these are freaking fantastic. They taste just like regular Frosted Flaked with a subtle hint of pumpkin pie. It’s got me thinking that cereal might be the absolute best vessel for Pumpkin Spice. Cheerioes, Frosted Mini Wheats, and now Frosted Flakes ALL NAIL pumpkin spice.
Kelloggs is releasing two new varieties of Frosted Flakes for the new year. Honey Nut and Banana Cream. Kelloggs, if you’re reading, send a few boxes my way!!!!!!
I give Pumpkin Spice Frosted Flakes 9 out of 9 Ladies Dancing!
