25 Days of Cereal Day 17: Peach Cheerios

To say that the holidays can be chaotic is an understatement. We all know how crazy things get around this time of the year. It’s important to take a step back from what you’re doing, and realize everyone else is going through it, and that maybe smashing your car into another person car for honking at you, when they had absolutely no business honking at you, is probably not the best course of action. Maybe they were warranted and you didn’t see it. Maybe they were honking hello, and the finger gesture they gave you was a foreign way to say “Merry New Year”. Maybe! It’s important to be kind to everybody all the time, but this time of the year especially. Go home overnight, and watch the final scene of Scrooged, where Bill Murray reminds us all to be better people. Watch it every night, twice if you have to, in fact, lets all watch it now. I’m not crying, that’s just dust in my eyes.

Okay, now that I got that out of the way…. I was stressed yesterday. Put a pile of presents I had to wrap in the middle of our living room and felt overwhelmed and tired. It was a busy day at work, and I’ve spent all evening away from the beautiful enchantress and in various stores. I didn’t have the brain capacity to blog, or do anything for that matter.

Today, I’m writing the day 17 and 18 reviews, but it’s the last time I’ll be late. I FINALLY secured a special surprise cereal to review on Christmas Morning! But before we get there, lets take a trip back to warmer times.

This past spring Cheerioes didn’t bring back my yearly favorite Strawberry Cheerios, instead they released Limited Edition Peach Cheerioes. There was definitely a peach flavor kick this past summer, with Coke releasing a limited edition Georgia Peach Coke, and Chik-fil-a having their peach shake.

I tried none of those, but I bought a box of the peach Cheerioes, kept it away from Enchantress as she’s allergic, and finally decided to open it up and review it.

When I opened the bag I got a sweet peach scent. The pieces looked like they had a slight peach hue to them. I poured some milk and dug in. I really enjoyed the slight sweetness of them, and you got a good peach flavor before you got the Cheerio flavor. I think I still like the strawberry ones better, but these were definitely tasty!
