25 Days of Cereal Day 6: Reese's Puff's Bats
I remember when Reese’s Peanut Butter Puffs came out in 1994. Their tagline was “It’s Reese’s for breakfast” I was so excited. I was 12, and my mom bought it for us. I was underwhelmed. I don’t know why? Maybe back then I had a higher tolerance for sugar, so when it wasn’t exactly “Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups” for breakfast, I wasn’t pleased. I also remember when they released a “Reese’s” brand of peanut butter in the jar. I thought it was going to taste just like the delicious center of a candy cup. I was wrong and disappointed. Duh RK, the candy has about 3lbs of sugar mixed in with the PB.
Now as an adult, I have a refined taste for Peanut Butter, and I LOVE the good stuff. It’s probably why I like Reese’s PB Puffs cereal more now also. Yes, same gripes, it’s a corn based cereal. Get with the OAT base people!!! This cereal is still taste as heck! They truly won my heart a few years ago when they were the first (to my recollection) to release an official EASTER CERAEL PEOPLE! Reese’s Puffs “Spring Edition” Bunnies!
This year they upped their game by releasing a Halloween version. Same puffs cereal you love, but as “Bat” shapes.
Yes they are delicious! Something about the PB and chocolate flavors that are magic. Rumor is they’re releasing a Valentines day version of the cereal which will cement Reese’s Cereal OVER Captain Crunch as the ULTIMATE holiday cereal
Captain Crunch:
Halloween Crunch
Christmas Crunch
Reese’s Puffs:
Easter Bunnies
Halloween Bates
Valentines Day Heats
Thats 2-3, and don’t go telling me Touchdown Crunch counts as a holiday cereal!
Anyway, this cereal is awesome and I hope all the holiday variants last for along time!
This gets 2 out of 2 Turtle Doves!
