Halloween Energy Drinks
Halloween themed energy drinks are becoming kind of a thing with Alani-Nu leading the way. They released their Witches Brew a few years ago and It’s becoming a tradition. This year they added to that tradition, and some other companies joined the fray. Lets taste these drinks and see whats good and whats not good.
First Alani-Nu. The witches brew is back and it’s the traditional Caramel Green apple flavor it’s always been and it’s delicious. This is one of my favorite flavors of energy drink. They put out a 2 pack with a new flavor called Ruby Red Apple, and It seems to be a caramel red apple flavor. Much like their Pumpkin Creme flavor they tried last year, this does not work as well as the witches brew. It’s better than the pumpkin creme, but not great. Each of the flavors has 200mg of caffeine per can.
They also released Voodoo Vanilla Elixir which only has 65mg of caffeine per small little can and is mean to mix in with other flavors. On it’s own it’s okay, but I tried a mix I found online. I mixes the Ruby Red with the Voodoo Vanilla then made it “dirty” with cream, but I used zero sugar pumpkin pie spice creamer.
This was okay, I don't think I like the idea of a dirty soda, so ill pass on future ones.
Up next is from the company Bloom, this is the Pear Scare flavor, and pear is an autumn flavor that doesn’t get enough love in my opinion. I LOVE this drink and I think it’s the best of all the ones I tried today. It has 165mg of caffeine per can and is very delicious, if you can still find this one I highlight suggest trying.
Finally the Unwell Apple Cider Donut flavor. This tasted like an apple cider donut, and thats not a good thing. It was kind of gross and with a heavy chemical after taste. This had 150mg of caffeine per can, and it was a 12oz can, like all the cans but the voodoo vanilla which was 8oz.
In closing, I wish more energy drinks did halloween tie ins, I know G-Fuel has been jumping in with horror icons on their cans, but I think brands like Monster and Ghost with it built into their names are prime for a halloween tie-in. I think a Ghost Halloween Apple Cider flavor would be clutch.
What flavors have you tried? And what are your ideas for energy drink Halloween tie-ins?
