Halloween Comics: Bride of Frankenstein Lives

We’re in the final stretch everyone! Trick or Treat is tomorrow (for me) Halloween is Saturday, it’s all coming together! I’m cranking the Halloween Countdown up to 11, and I have some Comics to go over with you but first let’s look at what I picked up at my LCS this week.

Yes, I left the store with 10 copies of the same book with different covers. This is Absolute Batman #25, the culmination of 2 years of work by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta. If you are looking to get back into comics, this is where I suggest you start.

Darkseid vs. The World is another Scott Snyder book spun out of the K.O. books, kind of a massive multiverse deal it seems like, I have not read yet.

The Batman Bad Seeds crossover event has been amazing and has also seriously taken a toll on my bank account. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, collecting all the books and the tie-ins feels like it did when I was a kid collecting the Knightfall books. so much fun!

This week’s Halloween Comic is The Bride of Frankenstein lives, brought to you by the creative forces behind Absolute Wonder Woman, so you KNOW this is going to be a decent book. This is issue one it came out Yesterday ( 10/28, all these books dropped yesterday). It starts immediately in Dr. Frankenstein’s castle, She looks horrified at his monster and boom we’re off to the races. This is a great first issue and I’m very excited for this 4 part arch.

Now, that the season of Halloween comics is over, It’s time to name my favorite. I LOVED the Spiderman Halloween special, but I’m going to go with 12-foot Skeleton. It’s a great story and I can’t wait to see where they take the slasher. Book 2 drops on November 25th, the day before Thanksgiving and feast your eyes on this Variant Cover.

a cover paying homage to my favorite Halloween movie, Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. This is going to be a must pickup for me, I already let my guy at Encounter know I need the variant in my pulls. Anyway, Hope you guys enjoyed my comics this season. Do you want me to keep posting what I pick up every week? Let me know in the comments.
